Performer Denies Anti-Vaxxer Views Following Voicing Contentious Covid Documentary

Liam Neeson has lent his voice to a new documentary that questions the safety of vaccines and commends one-time health official the political figure.

The Feature's Disputed Basis

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a popular book published by a controversial scientist, who became famous during the health crisis for claims that the virus was a result of a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.

The book's collaborator, the executive producer, has penned books with far-right figure a known commentator. Heckenlively wrote online celebrating Neeson's involvement in the project.

A Firm Statement

The team of the actor have released a statement strongly denying suggestions that he supports anti-vaccine beliefs.

"We all recognize that corruption may occur within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the comment states. "He is not, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His long work with the UN children's agency underscores his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."

It continued that the performer had no hand in the project's editorial content and that inquiries about its content should be directed to the filmmakers.

In the film, the narration read by Neeson makes several controversial points:

In recent weeks, RFK Jr called on the national health agency to revise its long-held position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is repeated in the documentary, contrary to a recent study from the World Health Organisation confirming no such link has been found.

Standing in contrast to the film's message, Neeson has formerly expressed firm endorsement for vaccines in his role as a Unicef global ambassador.
