These youths should be participating in activities in the park and preparing for their school qualifications, not servicing criminal groups in situations we know involve being restrained, abused and mistreated, and penalized by being denied nourishment."

Regulatory Updates and Ongoing Concerns

In late 2023, after a long-running high court case concerning solitary migrant children vanishing from all temporary accommodations, the custom of routinely accommodating children in hotels was ruled unlawful.
