Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage includes live text of the weekend matchups on multiple platforms, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, radio commentary can be heard through designated networks covering another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).

We're in the sixth week of the NFL season and following recent talk about two top teams being possible championship contenders, they both surrendered their perfect starts.

Striking during those contests was the amount of infractions both committed. Philadelphia did so in key moments meaning they essentially defeated themselves after leading by two touchdowns entering the final quarter against Denver, who play in London this weekend.

However it was positive to see how Denver quarterback Bo Nix was able to have the shortfall and then direct three successful possessions in three attempts during the final period, to win the victory by four points.

The Broncos have the defensive player of the year in cornerback their star corner. They rank number one in red zone defence, whereas Philadelphia are number one in red zone offence, and Denver won that contest.

They executed the Eagles' number in terms of simulated pressure. They weren't necessarily sending extra pass rushers instead they could position two LBs in the 'A' gap then withdrawing them and dispatch a slot defender from the outside.

At the start in the campaign, it was noted on a program how Denver might emerge as the current year's surprise contenders. They finished last season strongly and excelled of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this year's underdog story?

Recently acquired TE their tight end has stepped up significantly while recent RB JK Dobbins is a player they believe in. He's currently 5th league-wide in ground gains (over 400) as well as tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

It's impressive that head coach the Broncos' leader has "RUSH!" at the top of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates that Denver represent a team that wants to prioritize the run, since you can achieve much off the back of that. It reduces down the pass rush and maintains in positive down and distances.

This has helped quarterback Bo Nix, who entered into the league as the 12th overall draft pick last year, throwing 29 touchdown passes – just behind Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess powerful arms to pass all over, but they lack the mobility as Nix. He has exceptional passing ability, which is different, plus he's highly agile.

His strengths include his movement, the capacity to throw while moving, and using different arm angles to make the pass as he moves outside protection, on rollouts. He can throw precision throws across the middle and over the corner.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he's got a lot of poise under pressure and is not really fazed by extra rushers. He aims to avoid a sack whenever possible and is able throw under pressure. He possesses a high football IQ and remains quick to decide.

When you consistently run the ball it consumes time and makes the opponent to stay on the field extended periods, and when you've got a mobile QB the defense has to defend the area vertically and horizontally. This proves exhausting.

The quarterback has bitten back with the coach on the sideline sometimes and I think Payton likes that fire, that he's a fierce rival. In my view it's exciting for him to coach a young quarterback who's kind of like moldable clay. He can really develop him how he wants to shape him. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

Payton has won a Super Bowl and has passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He's seen it all. I think the success Denver are having on offence is mostly down to his guidance, his schemes, his game sense – and the combination with the QB helps make him into who he is.

You wouldn't want a better guy guiding you, to help you through some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they strong enough to face a top squad at full strength? Because that was not championship-level play from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Right now, it's unlikely the Broncos are incredible. They're working better than most, that's a solid position to hold the AFC West. All they need to do is maintain this trajectory.

They're really good at embracing their forte, which is running the ball, and that's precisely what they should do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

The Jets have surrendered 140 yards on the ground per game (among the worst), five ground scores so far (in the bottom ten), and they are the sole squad without a win any game.

Ever since the NFL began tracking turnovers decades ago, this team are the inaugural squad to be without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising when you think that the head coach was previously a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs' QB stated the Chiefs have 'already lost too many games' following a recent loss to Jacksonville.

After this Sunday's game, Denver have a manageable slate until their bye (in week 12) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

Looking at their division, Kansas City hold a losing record while Denver are even with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could make a run at leading the West.

It depends on which form Kansas City shows up they face because the Broncos {beat|def
