Passionate fans of the actress are calling for that a individual who leaped a barricade and grabbed the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and charging at Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

History of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account contains recordings of him disrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last December.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous fans criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said another response on Instagram.

A number of fans also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Many of supporters had assembled in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore venue, including some who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be released on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film interpretation of the acclaimed stage show Wicked, which centers on the unlikely relationship between two contrasting characters.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of last year in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, earning two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
